Kiptaragon Technical and Vocational College is one of its own kind in the southern part of Nakuru County. I consider the College a precious gift from God to the communities living at the vicinity of the famous Mau Complex.

Thanks to the Government of Kenya initiative of coming up with one middle level TVET institution in each constituency country wide. The Institution’s name is derived from the surrounding natural vegetation of cedar and other indigenous trees.

The environment is cool for the better part of the year and is away from the urban hustles and pollution making it an appropriate learning environment

The Institution has experienced significant growth since it opened doors to admit the first trainees in September 2019. Kiptaragon has great potential to grow into a large college because of its strategic location and a wide catchment area within Nakuru County and the neighbouring Counties of Bomet and Narok. I am confident that the 300 continuing trainees admitted in September 2019 and January 2020 will be the College’s marketing argents given the inspiration they have received accruing from excellent services rendered to them.

The Kiptaragon Community has been very supportive and friendly to college staff and trainees. I commend the entire community and its leadership for their genuine and valuable partnership in laying sustainable socio-economic tenets to propel the College into the future. The surrounding community response to provide accommodation and food to our growing population is good enough.
Kiptaragon T.V.C is a centre of excellence in agricultural value addition course which include food science technology and related courses. The Centre of Excellence comprises two fully equipped state of the art workshops and three laboratories. Installation of a 630 KVA transformer to power the workshops is in its final stages. When the workshops are fully operational, the college will be pasteurizing milk and processing yoghurt, ice cream, fruit juices and a variety of meat products.

I appeal to the youth and anybody who wants to possess employable skills and knowledge to make deliberate effort to discover how Kiptaragon T.V.C can make a turnaround in their lives for the better. As the Kiptaragon T.V.C Mission and Motto states, we endeavor to impart and develop vocational and technical skills and competencies for socio-economic self-reliance.

Going into the future, Kiptaragon strives to offer all manner of market driven courses at artisan, certificate and diploma levels. Over 250 trainees have so far enrolled in technical and applied sciences courses i.e. STEM courses. This is an encouraging trend given that government emphasis at the moment is on STEM courses. Kiptaragon T.V.C is an upcoming Institution to watch as it is set to be a giant of excellence in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
